What I do
I am responsible for the overall collection development of selectors who identify library materials supporting the curriculum and to a lesser extent, research at EMU.
Other Responsibilities
The allocation and monitoring expenditures of the materials budget.
I negotiate contracts for online resources.
I assist with the implementation and support of online resources.
I work closely with selectors to remove dated/worn content from the collection.
I develope policies as needed related to collections.
Background
I've been working in libraries for 35 years and involved with academic libraries for 23+ years.
I have a masters degree in Biology from EMU and a Masters of Library Science and BA from University of Michigan.
